Video: United’s injured stars spotted as players celebrated positive start to PL season

A number of Manchester United’s injured stars were spotted out in Manchester for a fancy team dinner at a Chinese restaurant.

According to The Sun, the likes of Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro and Tyrell Malacia were all present as United “splashed out” at Tattu, a contemporary Chinese restaurant that charges £120-per-head.

A few weeks ago, it emerged that new signing Leny Yoro sustained an injury expected to rule him out of action for around three months.

The Frenchman picked up the issue during United’s pre-season clash against Arsenal in the United States. He underwent surgery to correct the foot problem.

Earlier this month, United confirmed that Shaw will miss the early stages of the 2024/25 season as he recovers from a calf injury.

Meanwhile, Tyrell Malacia – who did not play at all last term – is still continuing with his rehabilitation as he aims to make a return to action following a lengthy period on the treatment table.

According to The Sun, “Following last night’s PFA awards, players treated themselves to some tasty dishes to celebrate a successful start to the new season. One set menu at Tattu, dubbed the “Emperor’s Choice”, costs £119 per person.”

“Stars tucked into a succulent Chinese meal with dishes including red belly pork, wagyu beef, green pepper lobster and Singapore shiitake noodles.”

“United’s players took a relaxed approach to the bonding session, with new boys Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui enjoying their first taste of Manchester’s nightlife.”

Erik ten Hag was not present as he steps up preparations for Saturday’s clash at the Amex against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Also present at the dinner were Alejandro Garnacho, Diogo Dalot, Kobbie Mainoo, Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans, Rasmus Hojlund, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, Amad Diallo and Hannibal Mejbri.

As captured in the video below which was shared on X (formerly Twitter), the players were seen arriving at the venue of the team meal.
