Leny Yoro’s United deal has secret get-out agreement, fans will be livid – report

Manchester United’s Leny Yoro reportedly has an unsigned agreement with the club that he can leave for Real Madrid in the future.

It was well reported that the former LOSC Lille player was very keen on a move to Real Madrid this summer but the European champions would not make an offer that appealed to the Ligue 1 side.

Consequently, United shocked the footballing world by making an audacious bid to sign the player and pulled it off by convincing the starlet to move to Manchester.

The Frenchman has since spoken glowingly of United and claimed it was a “dream” move.

The 18 year old made an impressive debut against Glasgow Rangers in pre-season but disaster struck in only his second game against Arsenal, which saw him pick up a metatarsal injury, meaning he will be out of action until November at the earliest.

Spanish outlet Defensa Central are certain that we have not heard the last of Real Madrid’s interest in the defender and that a move to the Bernabeu could be on the cards earlier than anyone expected.

They report that Yoro “does not rule out wearing the merengue shirt during his career”, in spite of his move to United.

Interestingly, they make the huge claim that “Real Madrid has received, not officially, but through some intermediaries, word that Leny Yoro has a verbal agreement with Manchester United, something that is not signed, but agreed verbally, by which the French player will be able to sign for the merengue team within two seasons.”

What’s more, this could become a reality on the condition that the player is unhappy in Manchester and secondly, that Madrid pay something in the region of €50-55 million for his services.

The move would certainly be an unusual one for Ineos to agree to, especially considering their stance that they only want to sign players that are committed to playing for the club and see the move as a step up.

Nonetheless, perhaps they have also learned from previous mistakes where United missed out on the signing of Erling Haaland because they would not agree to a release clause.

It is also possible that they have such confidence in their project that Yoro will not want to leave the club in the near future due to their positive trajectory.

It is also undeniable that Yoro very much preferred the move to Madrid this summer and would have gone to the Spanish capital if they had paid up. There have also been reports that his former club threatened the player to leave and accept United’s offer as they did not want to lose him on a free in the summer of 2025.
