Ineos desperate to ditch Sancho before deadline, now offered to CL giants in cut-price deal – report

Manchester United are desperately trying to end the whole Jadon Sancho saga by moving him on permanently but it has proven to be quite the challenge thus far.

The England international destroyed his United career by reacting in the worst way possible when Erik ten Hag publicly called out the player for his below-par training displays.

He published a social media statement against the boss and his camp insinuated preferential treatment was the cause of Sancho’s reducing minutes and he was subsequently banished from the first team after he failed to apologise.

He was sent out on loan to former club Borussia Dortmund in a bid to increase his market value after a long hiatus. After a brilliant end to his loan spell, it was expected that the German giants would do everything in their power to keep a hold of the English star.

Sancho’s future

But they insisted on a cut-price deal which INEOS would not agree to and hence, the player was brought back to Carrington where he patched things up with Ten Hag.

But the former Manchester City academy graduate has been dropped from both matchday squads and an exit looks inevitable with both Chelsea and Juventus trying to wrap up a loan deal while United want at least an obligation to buy to be included.

With talks dragging on with no positive conclusion in sight, Dortmund have re-entered the race and there is a chance INEOS change the terms of an agreement to try and end this never-ending episode.

According to Givemesport, the Bundesliga side want a deal on their terms and are willing to take advantage of United’s desperation by waiting till deadline day to pounce.

“Manchester United star and Chelsea target Jadon Sancho has been offered to Borussia Dortmund during the final hours of the summer transfer window as the Old Trafford hierarchy are eager to get him off the wage bill after falling short of breaking into the forefront of boss Erik ten Hag’s plans, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

Dortmund again

“Although Dortmund cannot afford the terms being talked about right now, GMS sources have learned that head coach Nuri Sahin and members of the hierarchy are monitoring Sancho’s situation ahead of potentially testing Manchester United’s stance with a proposal at the eleventh hour.

“GMS sources have been told Dortmund are adamant that Manchester United will become more desperate to offload Sancho if potential moves to Chelsea or Serie A giants Juventus fall through on Thursday, resulting in them remaining patient and looking to reach an agreement which is more suited to their finances.”

Juventus remain favourites for now but they still need to include a high obligation price while Sancho would prefer Chelsea, something United will not like as they would not prefer strengthening a direct rival.

This saga does not look like it is ending before deadline day. More twists and turns are expected.
